Today was a busy and productive day in our Pre-K Montessori classroom! The children engaged in a variety of hands-on learning activities that supported their growth across multiple areas of development.

During the Montessori work cycle, students practiced addition and multiplication concepts using concrete materials, strengthening their mathematical understanding through exploration and repetition. Children also worked with the Moveable Alphabet to build and read three-letter words, developing early literacy, phonics, and spelling skills.

One student worked with the Montessori Sound Cylinders, a sensorial material designed to refine auditory discrimination skills. By carefully listening and matching cylinders according to the intensity of their sounds, the child strengthened concentration, listening skills, and attention to detail.

Creative expression was encouraged through cutting and painting activities, which help refine fine motor coordination, concentration, and independence. The class also participated in our Walking on the Line lesson, a Montessori activity that promotes balance, coordination, body awareness, and self-control.

As graduation approaches, the children spent time practicing for their Moving Up Ceremony. They are working hard to prepare for this special milestone, building confidence while celebrating all they have learned throughout the school year.
