Today our Montessori classroom was filled with creativity and hands-on learning. Children explored easel painting, imaginative art projects, chalkboard activities, and coloring experiences while strengthening fine motor skills, concentration, and creative expression.

The teacher also introduced a new gross motor lesson designed to challenge balance, coordination, body awareness, and concentration. The lesson included walking on the line, walking on the line with eyes closed, bear crawls, military crawls, cross-legged walking, and zig-zag jumping.

With graduation preparations keeping us busy today, the children did not yet have the opportunity to work on this activity. We are excited to see them take on these activities next week as they continue developing confidence, coordination, and self-control through purposeful movement.

At My World Child Care Center and Montessori in Avenel, we believe children learn best through experiences that engage both the mind and body.
